How to Delete, Edit, or Merge a Prospect or Client
This article explains how to manage Prospect and Client records in the portal, including editing details, converting prospects to clients, merging duplicate records, and deleting records when necessary.
Accessing a Prospect or Client Record

From the Home page, select the People tab on the left side of the site.

Click on the Prospect or Client you would like to update.

Edit a Prospect or Client

Open the Prospect or Client record.

Select the Manage Entity dropdown. Then choose "Edit Name".

Make the necessary changes.

Select Save changes to apply your updates.
Convert a Prospect to a Client

Open the Prospect record.
-
Select the Manage Entity dropdown. Then choose "Convert to Client".

The record will be updated and moved from Prospect status to Client status.
Merge a Prospect or Client
Merging is useful when duplicate records exist.

Open the Prospect or Client record you want to keep.

Select the Manage Entity dropdown. Then choose "Merge".

Search for the other Prospect or Client using their name or email address.

Select the correct record from the search results.

Review the information.

Select the green Confirm merge button to complete the process.
Note: Merging combines information from both records into one.
Delete a Prospect or Client

Open the Prospect or Client record.

Select the Manage Entity dropdown. Then choose "Delete Entity".

A pop-up will appear showing the information that will be deleted.

Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up.

Type delete into the confirmation text box.

Select the red Delete button at the very bottom to permanently remove the record.
Warning: Deleting a Prospect or Client is permanent and cannot be undone.
